Hari Prasada Rao Bandla
President (2006-present)
Andhra Samajam of Greater Milwaukee

It is with great pleasure and humility; I accept the nomination to be the President of Andhra Samajam of Greater Milwaukee for a new term of three years starting from January 2006. It is my privilege and honor to serve the Telugu speaking members of Andhra Samajam in the Greater Milwaukee area.

I am delighted to have an effective executive committee that is committed to strengthen the cause of our association.  On behalf of the new executive committee, we applaud and appreciate all the effort put in by the previous executive committee under the leadership of Vijayanthi Cheedella.

We have grown in size significantly in the last few years by the increasing number of Telugu speaking families moving to Greater Milwaukee area. It is very important for all the Telugu speaking people to become members of ASGM and increasing our strength. With increased growth of our association, we can make our cultural events richer in content and also facilitates to explore the possibility of adding new events that sustain our Telugu spirit.

The new executive committee will strive hard to reach our goal of expanding our membership base. In any organization, there is always greater enthusiasm with the change in the leadership and the new executive committee is no exception. We have innovative ideas and dedicated team that cherish a vision that perpetuate Telugu Samskriti, Sahithyam and Sampradayam.

At this critical stage of our growth and development, there are important milestones that need to be accomplished. These include

1. Building a website for ASGM to enhance communication.
2. Create an emblem for ASGM
3. Register our organization as non-profit organization.

We should continue to foster close relationship with other Indian organizations in Milwaukee and Wisconsin under the umbrella of Wisconsin Coalition of Asian Indian Organizations (WCAIO). We should expand our activities to promote social, educational and religious affairs of our Telugu Speaking people and benefit our telugu community.

The two pillars of strength for any organization to accomplish the mission include financial stability and spirit of volunteerism. Please make every effort to volunteer in the association activities and contribute to our financial strength by paying your annual membership regularly. Hoping to serve the needs of all the members of ASGM,
