Andhra Samajam of Greater Milwaukee (ASGM) is a non-profit organization devoted to the awareness and promotion of Telugu culture in the Greater Milwaukee region. Established in 1980s, Andhra Samajam of Greater Milwaukee has been in existence for more than 25 years. The main purpose of our association is to serve the people of Telugu origin living in the Greater Milwaukee area.
Ours is a socio-cultural organization governed by an executive committee elected every three years. ASGM Executive committee members conduct day-to-day operation of the organization.
Under the auspices of the organization, we meet 5 times a year to celebrate important festivals and functions that are dear to people from Andhra Pradesh. ASGM also organizes special cultural events from time to time, performed by artists visiting from India.Our membership has grown in the last few years and currently there are approximately 300 families. Members of our organization have actively participated in other community events, particularly in relation to Hindu Temple of Wisconsin and our organization is a member of Association of South East Asian Nation coalition of Wisconsin.
